Steve and
Willa went on a short-term mission trip with their church to
Casa Hogar del Niņo de
Acapulco in Acapulco, Mexico for a week, and then spent another
week in Oaxaca, Mexico, in the village where Steve grew up with his
brothers and missionary parents. Willa has a
trip report on the Williamson Forums. They left their
five
children, Ethan, Sam, Sydney, Joseph, and Noah, with us for the two
weeks starting July 9, 2004 (they actually left at 4 AM on July 10.)
Steve and
Willa returned home Thursday night, July 22, and picked their kids up
the following day. Cindy and I (Nana and Grampa) thoroughly
enjoyed the children during that time. The kids showed great
maturity, and were a pleasure to spend time with. That being
said, we were certainly happy to see Steve and Willa when they
returned to pick their lovely children up - we simply were out of
energy. The assistance of Nelie, Amie, Julio, Rico, and others
was greatly appreciated. Music Camp at Hixson Presbyterian
Church was truly a blessing, and the answered prayers of friends
from Chattanooga Valley Presbyterian Church and Covenant
Presbyterian Church were obvious.
