The Georgia AT Club finishing the reroute of the AT, bypassing Slaughter Gap. The bypass shortens and steepens the trail. Off the bypass there is a side trail with a number of nice tent pads. The hope is that Slaughter Gap will get less pressure and start to recover from overuse.
