After we turned toward Floyd's Prairie, off of the motorized Middle Fork of the Suwannee River and onto the canoe-only trail, we started to see some birds. We first spotted ibis and egrets in the trees, and then saw (and heard!) Sandhill Cranes and herons. Here is an egret across some open water in Floyd's Prairie.
