  Blood Mountain Hiking - Several friends and I have been on Blood Mountain in Georgia in the last couple of weeks. Blood Mountain (so named from a fierce battle between Native American tribes long ago) is the highest point on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia, and is one of the highest peaks in Georgia (3rd, maybe.)
